Practise a clearer English response in a meeting
Use a constraint, an alternative and a next step, then remove the scaffold and try a new workplace scenario.

Choose one communicative action
Instead of setting a vague goal to improve business English, pick a small situation. A colleague asks whether a release can happen on Friday. Your task is to explain a constraint and propose a workable next step. Remove confidential details from real workplace material.
Compare an original response
Question: Can we launch on Friday? First response: Friday is difficult. Clearer response: We still need to finish the security review. We could release the tested features on Friday and the remaining feature on Monday. Could we confirm that scope today? These dates and project details are fictional.
Fade the scaffold
First use three prompts: constraint, alternative, next step. Then hide them and respond again. Exact wording is not the goal. Check whether a listener can tell what is blocked, what you propose and what you need from them.
Change the situation
A client wants a complete analysis tomorrow, but only the first part has been checked. Write a response without reopening the release example. Check that you have not accidentally promised more than you can deliver.
Keep practice conditions visible
Separate seeing an example, answering with a hint, answering without a hint and trying a new situation later. Own Words demo charts use fictional records; your typed answer is not automatically AI-assessed. For longer arguments, continue in EssayStep.
